Acceptance

Late night thoughts- "Baby you were born this way" ever since I could remember I always knew my life was different compared to other boys I have associated with in my life, but I always tried to avoid these little things that could potentially stress me out at such a young age. Fourth grade started is when boys and girls would develop feelings for the opposite sex, but in my case the same sex. So I knew I've always been gay whether people knew it or not and way before I could accept it myself. Why is it that in today's society it is "right" to not act upon one's feelings towards another human being? If we were in a world where being straight was an abomination and you were shunned by it how would they feel? Honestly, where is the love. Catholics and Christians are raised to love one another yet some of them go around protesting hate against "problems" in today's society, even saying that it's a good thing army men died because they are "fags" kind of hypocritical if you ask me. Young homosexual males and females, everyday commit suicide because of not being accepted by their parents and made fun of in school. Instead of bullying why not embrace the difference in another human being? What's so hard about loving someone else just because they life a different life style than you do. "Homosexuals are influenced by media as to why there are so much nowadays!" back then homosexuals were abused verbally and psychically causing them to stay on the closet, but with today being a little more lenient and gay-friendly we are more comfortable to be ourselves. No one wakes up one day wanting to be gay that's just what ignorant people assume. Life itself is so precious and everyone should be able to live it to their full potential regardless of their sexual orientation. Being gay is just a small factor in one's life so people should really worry about the bigger picture of what's REALLY going on today: the poor . Before bashing on one's sexual orientation, try understanding what we go through everyday just to make it through life.
